The methodological procedure for strip crop rotation is part of the current legislation!

Prof. Miroslav Dumbrovský and Dr. Veronika Sobotková participated in its creation on behalf of our institute. We are very pleased that after a series of negotiations, their work was also incorporated into the valid legislative regulations at the beginning of 2025.

In 2024, negotiations started with representatives of the state administration with the aim of incorporating strip crop rotation into the rules of the Agricultural Agricultural Policy and agricultural subsidy policy.

Subsequently, it was decided that strip crop rotation would become a subsidy-supported eco-scheme.

On March 12, 2025, the Government of the Czech Republic approved an amendment to Government Regulation No. 83/2023 Coll., which anchored this change in legislation.

The methodology was created within the framework of the TAČR project SS06010290 – Strip crop rotation as an adaptation measure to optimize landscape water management.

The following participated in the development of the methodology and its application in practice with us:

 The project also outputs the MoPSP plug-in module in the QGIS environment for the design and control of strip crop rotation, which was created in collaboration with SPÚ - Státní pozemkový úřad.
