A new approach to active storage capacity control of water reservoir in extreme dry period
In recent years, it is possible to observe more frequent occurrence of hydrological extremes, there is a more frequent occurrence of floods and deepening drought. In extremely dry periods can be completely compromised storage function. One of the ways to prevent or completely prevent these problems is the change in the method of handling the controlled drainage. Operators of water reservoirs will be forced method of operating the reservoirs modernize. Already now it is possible to observe that the rules the control of water reservoirs listed in their handling orders begin to hint at restrictions arising from the management mode applied. At the current control method may cause disturbances that ultimately may cause unexpected downtime reservoir or multi-reservoir system. The paper describes an intelligent way of strategic management using predictive model of average monthly inflows of water into the tank. This greater control method is applied to the sample storage control features Vír I reservoir. The procedure is done in extreme dry period in 1990 and 1992.
